Love Letters

I recently started a pen pal in another State, sending real letters with a real stamp. It not only provides a genuine pleasure to receive a letter in the mail, but also there is so much pleasure and personal reward in sitting down to write someone. This motivated me to start my Beloveds on letter writing. We had many thank you's we wanted to send, so I went searching the web for Thank you templates.

This one was my favorite and it is free for any to download.

However, it didn't quite serve my needs, so I made my own version which I am so happy to share with you.

I laminated the practice page, so my Beloveds can use it again and again to practice writing many letters.

After the thank you letters, I made some general stationary with envelope addressing practice.

We took our letters to the post office.

I found a cute little mailbox at Target and I thought would it be nice to have it in the house to send each other little love notes. Our first love note was just on a sticky pad. My husband wrote me a note on a sticky pad that I keep on the wall on my side of the bed, and I love waking up to it.

So we used the same idea, raising the flag to let someone know there was a note inside. Then I thought of making something more formal where Lil A can use to practice the names of family members. I created her a template with our names on it and laminated it, so that she can learn to write our names.

Then let the love letter writing begin! Because sending love should not be relegated to one day, but everyday of the year.
